Weathering the Covid-19 Pandemic | Stronger than Ever
Carey Hilliard’s | from General Counsel
They say that tough times “bring out the best in people” and “make you stronger.” Earlier this year, no one could have dreamed that a flu-like virus would be sweeping the globe, out of control. That became a stark reality to local restaurants on March 24, when Savannah’s Mayor – Van Johnson closed inside dining – and remained closed for over a month.
At that time, we had to decide as a business: sit back and do nothing, or adapt and fight back – to make things safer.
Wearing Masks is important, and we’ve trained our Staff how to wear them correctly, above the nose and mouth. Yes, it’s hard to talk thru, and hot – but we’re doing it to keep you safe. A big Thank You to the Staff, going above and beyond in cleaning and sanitizing.
The Walk-Up Window was an idea hatched by General Manager – Stacia Blackmore. I give her credit, because she was the only one who believed it would actually work. It makes Ordering and Picking-Up in-person super convenient. On the customer-side of the store, we propped-up a tent, opened the Window, and began taking Orders. It’s especially convenient for Tractor-Trailer Drivers too large to pull-up Curbside.
Touchless Curb Payment makes it quick and convenient to make payment Curbside. We’ve eliminated the need to touch a pin-pad or sign a receipt.
Additional Curb-Service Parking makes placing or picking-up your Order faster. Curb-Service is busier than ever, and we want to make sure you can Call-In, Pull-In, and Pick-Up, just as fast as before. Call-in a Take-Out, or Order Online at careyhilliards.com.
As always, grateful for the opportunity to serve you.
