Debra Friend | Fall is in the Air
With the hurricane safely behind us, and no damage except for cleaning up a little debris and trash blown around, we CAN FEEL, FALL IS IN THE AIR!
Decorations are going up
Dine-in and you’ll notice Debra Friend has been around, and busy…hanging her Fall décor. It’s a home-ey feeling, that celebrates a nice cool breeze, and reminder that the Holidays are right around the corner.
How Debra Became Involved
Last year, Debra asked if she could jazz things up a bit, to get us in the Fall Spirit. I thought it was a fantastic idea, and now we’re doing it again – for the 2nd year in a row.
As you know, Debra “officially” began decorating the stores a few years ago – just for Christmas. The story of how she started decorating is worth mentioning again:
I walked into the store 3 years ago, to be greeted by half-lit Christmas trees, missing ribbons, and a “Grinch-like” situation. It really sunk the whole restaurant and season’s vibe. Debra asked if she could “spruce up” the tree. A day later, you could really see how much thought, care and time she put into it.
Looking 2 months forward, there’s a LOT of Christmas décor and ornaments. Debra knows where everything is stores (up & down) so, fingers crossed…no missing tree limbs this year!
