Carey Hilliard’s Invitational Swim Meet hosted by Sav. Swim Team

Theme: Thankful, and Giving Back

This time of year, Thanksgiving is on our mind – and no, we’re not just talking about turkey, but being THANKFUL.  I think it’s fitting to “give our thanks” by highlighting 2 recent charity events we were involved in.

25th Annual Carey Hilliard’s Invitational Swim Meet

A month ago, the Savannah Swim Team – with Coach Joe Witt at the helm, hosted the 25th Annual Carey Hilliard’s Invitational.  That’s right, it’s been 25 years straight – for this awesome, popular, and competitive event.  We’re humbly patting ourselves on the back – all while applauding loudly for the Savannah Swim Team, it’s swimmers, and the competition from all around.

This year, 238 of the best swimmers came from across the southeast to compete at the Aquatic Center.  Not only did they compete, they had fun.  Not in the least, Bubba-Cue enjoyed making a special appearance (though he can’t swim).  Despite not being super sleek, nor made for water, Bubba-Cue thought it was super important to highlight this 25-year milestone.

Coaches and staff enjoyed a (of course) Carey Hilliard’s lunch – including chicken fingers, barbecue, and sweet tea!

Shout out to: Michele Smith who helped organize the event.

Also, a few weeks ago, on November 9, Ashlea Carson and I proudly presented a check to United Way.  The funds go to support the local community.  We’re hoping other local businesses do the same.

As always, we’re grateful for the opportunity to serve you.
